Relevé with odd colour behaviour just off blue.

We have 8 of the ETC Relevé automated fixtures, 6 of them purchased together shortly after they come out back in 2019, and 2 purchased a couple years later.

Generally we are quite pleased with them, but 2 of them from the first batch purchased show an odd colour behaviour when selecting (or fading) to a colour just off of pure blue.  These two tend to suddenly jump to a partially Cyan colour, in a very noticeable jump (step?).  These two don't jump to precisely the same hue, there is a noticeable difference between them, while all the others change colour smoothly.

They have done this since they were new.  Any idea if a Firmware update, or something else might fix this?

  • It is likely that your fixtures have different firmware versions

You can find the Firmware versions by navigating in the menu structure to the following location:

    Main Menu > About

The firmware version should be listed here under "Ver"

The Current firmware version (as of the date of this posting) is 1.2.1.1 and can be found here

Instructions to update firmware can be found in the User Operations manual here

    I hope this helps.

  • All 8 Relevé are running in Standard mode.

The ones that are acting strange are all on an older version of the Firmware, Ver. 1.2.0.16.

The fixtures do have different Firmware versions as they were purchased a few years apart.   The newer ones oddly do not show a Ver: on the About screen, the space is blank.

I'll go back to the theatre after lunch and try an update from a USB on one, and then a Push to the others once one is done.
