I am currently looking at ordering more metal gobos for my theatre's SolaFrame 2000's and I noticed on the data sheet that the stock gobos in the fixture are 0.5mm Aluminum. Since I have used steel gobos almost exclusively I found this rather odd.
Is there any reason why one might need to use aluminum gobos in these fixtures instead of steel ones? I am aware that the heat distribution properties of the two metals are different, but I am unsure if that makes any difference here. Assuming I order gobos of the correct dimensions, should steel gobos work just as well in these fixtures?
Thank you to anyone who knows.
