Cyberlight repair tips

i'm new here but thought i'd ask a few questions anyway. before i put to much effort into it, i was wondering if anyone had any repair tips for cyberlights.

i was hoping for something to figure out issues like ballest, ignitor, power supply and logic board issues, power factor, transformer, stuff like that. i sorta feel bad calling hes trying to isolate some of the issues we are having here at my school with some older lights. i've read through some of the past forums, and gotten some tips, and do want to thank everyone for that.

i've just had some issues with going to far in, when some issues are something as stupid as a bad psb, and trying to swap a transformer or something when the 24v isn't making it to the logic harness.

any tips/help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Welcome Aidan.

If you are having specific issues, feel free to post them here or call the guys in support @ (800) 890-8989.

For transformers...check the 3 LEDs on the PSB (Power Supply Board)...if you don't have all 3, and the fuses all check out OK...then it is a fairly safe bet that the transformer is bad.

The 14 pin harness (long thin white connector with black woven
insulation tube over the wires) that spans the Logic card and the PSB is also prone to isssues. Look for yellow/brown marks on the long thin white connectors on both ends.
