I've got 6 studio colors...some with a lens that looks like a car headlamp more or less smooth but with 3/4 inch bands in a single direction. Others have a pebble like bumpy surface. I ordered a Fresnel to match the first type, only to find out when it got here that it has round concentric raised circles. Can't find a picture with description anywhere. Can somebody help me ID these? Thanks.
The round-concentric circles is the standard fresnel lens.
The others sound like part of the PAR-64 lens accessories kit....sounds like you have either Narrows and Mediums or Mediums and Wides. I believe these lenses are sold only in kits of (5), not individually so when you order a kit you get (1) Narrow, (1) Med, (1) Wide, etc, etc.
I hope this helps your ID problem:)
As for what to do about it, depends on your situation. You could order all standard lenses, or order kits for each one, depending on your application.
