Universal lcd controller problem

Hey guys,
I now have 24 trackspots up and running on permenent hire......
These thing are awesome, One of my universal controllers has a dead lcd screen, the backlight works and the controller is working, just no read out.
is there a driver chip or something that i can replace?
Any advise would be appreciated,

    HI, i have a universal controller w/ 2.08firmware, it says intell/emulator when i power it up...but when i plug in my RAM card and scroll to back, and copy from card to memory it says; "RAM ERROR/ WRONG FORMAT" so i cannot load my trackspot shows...does this even work with trackspots?? after what it says when i power it up "intell/ emulator". thanx
