I have a cyber light that i'm recovering from a fire. (stupid breaker in the fixture decided to burn) The fixture fires up fine but when it goes to strike the lamp the lamp ignites but it is very dim (you just see the arc go across the lamp but it isnt bright then it quits, it does this during the strike cycle). I measured 240V on the input card, 240 at the transformer (not the ballast), and 240V at the lamp terminals (the ones on the lps, not the lamp side of the ignitor) during the strike cycle. Any ideas? I cannot remember what the voltage is supposed to be to the ignitor, but i'm thinking its supposed to be between 200-250V.
Did you call me on this last Friday or was it a Flu dream?
V to ignitor ought to be about 30-40v if memory serves me. Same with 250, 575 and 750's. I'm still fuzzy so..:dunce: I might be wrong. Cough, hack, drip....:aiwebs_007:
Check the PFC it might have gotten cooked in the process. If its bad then what you decribed would happen.
