Technobeam - lamp strike issue

I'll preface this with the condition of the fixtures first. I bought them used, they all work great. None of them have displays or buttons (surprise) - I haven't been able to replace them yet. So all of the units are set for the lamps to strike when powered up.

Sometimes one or two of the lamps don't strike, and I have to unplug, and then plug them back in.

Anyone know why that would happen?

  • as a followup question on a recent issue I've been having. Occasionally, one of my tbeams douses its light in the middle of a show. Is there anyway to strike it w/o a reboot/home? I usually use an tbeam LCD controller on these guys, but occasionally a dmx controller (in which case, close the shutter and hit channel 18 remotely boots), but the boot times are too long in the midddle of a show.
