Trackspot problem

One of my trackspots was not panning at all, even upon reboot. No problem, I assumed a blown motor. After pulling it down from the truss and switching the cables to verify the blown motor, it would no longer home. The fan spins and it goes no further. I switched the cables back and now, power runs through the unit but no fan spins, nor any homing features. Upon switching the pan and tilt cables again, the fan blows, but no homing. Anybody know where to start on this guy?

  • Have a Trackspot with an intermitten problem
Sometimes the shutter slams around, motors don't home correctly and acts irratic. Sometimes acts fantabulous. I've checked out solder joints, blown out the unit to clear dust from the sensors and finally sent the logic board out for repair. They sent it back finding nothing wrong. Starting to run out of ideas. Was thinkin maybe something wrong with the clock pulse or some bad solder joints but I find everything on the board to be locked down correctly. Any ideas???

[quote=muvment]Turns out: 2 driver chips and the EEPROM are blown. I solved the problem with the excellent help of: LightParts.
