no alternate lamp, but there are dip-switch selectable modes that automatically dim the lamp 5% and 10%. try that, it will add 40% to your lamp life at least.
Yup. Lamp saver mode flip up 1-2-3-5 and you have DMX hi res with lampsaver. Insted of the lamps always being on it shuts off afer a few seconds of 0 dim. Check for vibration in what your mounted to. I Have seen subs rattle the filaments loose on fixtures mounted to something that vibrates.:eek: Being a humhead I look for things like that.
