I've got a 1st half 99 trackspot with a problem I've never seen before. Beside the complete set of bad motors.
Upon startup, the color and gobo wheels shake. There is no tension on the pan, tilt, and shutter motors (outside of a pan motor going out). One motor chip (color) was blown in the socket with a pin completely fried. Slot looks ok. Motor chip replaced. I've tried switching the EPROM, and most other chips that are removable, but to no avail. Not sure if the personality DIP is failing, but it doesn't matter what personality switch is selected, nor does the unit go through boot.
After the wheels shaking for a while, they stop, there is a long pause (no error sound), then they start shaking again.
No obvious components blown, based upon visual inspection on the front side of the board. Nor is there any traces blown.
