what is a color pro ex?

what is a color pro ex? a laser emulator? I'm lost, what can I use to run it DMX a colorpro controller or an emulator controller?

Could it be a Color Pro FX instead of EX? The FX was a similar to the standard Color Pro HX except it was designed to be used a a fiber optic illuminator.

no it's an older classic style, I know about the hx's fx's hxi's this says "ex"

Probably not very. These fixtures were pre-DMX.
