Electronic strobe on the SHOWGUN

What exactly is the electronic strobe on the Showgun, I thought it was the lamp itself that's strobing on and off?

You are correct. That is what it is.
SHOWGUN has both mechanical and electronic strobing.
You can use either or both at any given time.
Depending on the flash rate you are looking for will determine which mode is best for your application.
