Both Bulb lights goe out

I have pulled out the bulbs from both andf both look good. Next I am going to try them in a unit that does work!

Are the units patched to the same address and same DMX universe on both shows?
Sounds like the units may have went into shutdown if the lamps went out and the units did not move.
What do the displays say on the fixtures?

I don't remember what the display said, but yes, the setup was identical on both controllers. One universe, same addresses, but each unit was given a different address.

Today I put the same bulbs back in and did a self test. Everything worked fine.

What should I do if this ever happens again?

At the show I did try a self test and it did not work.

If the lights work in one show but not the other I am leaning towars the patch beign wrong.
I would check to see if you recorded a shutdown command by mistake.

I agree that this seems like the shutdown command was sent to the fixtures...could losing DMX output to the fixtures while you were switching shows cause the fixtures to enter into shutdown?

Well I guess that is possible. What should I look for to know if I do have a shutdown command?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am just not a DMX pro yet.

There should be a control channel that, when set to a specific range of values, will send the fixture into shutdown. This channel also does fixture reset, lamp on, and lamp off commands.

The display on the fixture will also show that it got a shutdown command.

How is your show programmed?
Do you have one main cuestack or a bunch of cue list and scenes?

List X Open (will open the cue)
Hit the View Cue button to see the information in the cue
Find the control channel and see if you have a shutdown command

I use light factory

my show is individual cue lists with scenes.

I have not graduated to multiply cuelists in one show.

I am sorry but I do not know Light Factory.
I would read the manual to find out how to open your cues and scenes to check for the shutdown command.
