I've got a Techno that's having a tilt issue, after it runs for about 30 minutes to an hour the mirror acts like its getting stuck and completely gets off from recorded positions and movements. This happens in self test mode AND when running it from my system (Hog4PC).. Besides the tilt problem everything else runs just fine.. First I switched driver chips, that didn't help at all... Next I switched the motor with a new one.. STILL didn't solve anything... :dunno: So I figured instead of busting my brain I would ask everyone else and see what they have to say..
hmmmm the one thing I haven't checked or replaced yet... and I don't think I have any laying around either :dunce: guess I wont be using my technos for awhile :sad2:
tried the motor brake, that didn't help.. my keyboard player who is also a really good tech when it comes to lighting and audio says it might be the wiring harness that goes to the pan and tilt motors.. ive got a guy interested in buying them as is so im not even going to worry about it anymore.. thanks for your help though!
OK FOLKS!.. so the guy that was interested in them is just kicking tires basically... SO heres the scoop.. I have a new motor, swapped driver chips, new motor brake, AND Chris Litz showed me how to do a hub setup... this light STILL has a tilt issue.. after a few minutes it starts to stutter for a few seconds, then it fixes itself, runs for awhile, and starts to stutter again.. (this is all in test mode by the way) its not as bad as it was BUT it still isn't right.. is there anything else that could be the problem before I start digging into this thing? :1zhelp:
