Hi guys. Our company just bought a road hog full boar and 6 showpix. We've only had the equipement for a couple days and now the boss needs me to use three showpix to spell ''RBC''. I need a tutorial on how to do that. Can anybody help me here?
This should be easy. The letters are apart of the stock content on the fixture. On the RoadHog you will need to add the following fixture for 3 SHOWPIX
3 SHOWPIX standard (intensity, pan, tilt, etc.) 6 SHOWPIX image (image/content layers) (2 per fixture)
I recommend assigning unique user numbers as follows:
101 SHOWPIX Standard 201 SHOWPIX Standard 301 SHOWPIX Standard
Patching then become very easy, and needs to be in specific order: 101>103 @ 1 201>203 @ 301>303 @
Once patched, I recommend making individual fixture groups for each fixture, but that is up to you.
In order to get the letters you will need to do the following:
101 @ Full Pan/Tillt to view fixture 102 Enter Under BEAM, you will find Media Folder and Media File Use Media Folder 'icons' (DMX 10) Use Media File 2 (alphabet) Once selected, the letters will begin to play in a loop. You will need to pause this by going to MODE on the Slot toolbar (next to CONTROL) Select 'Media Mode Pause'; this will pause the content. Now locate Media Frame on under the BEAM Kind and you will be able to turn the parameter wheel to find the letters. Do this for each of the fixture, and you will be able to record this as a cue or scene.
