I am wondering if anyone has had any luck with converting Trackspots to use a LED lamp? Ive seen some on ebay that look like they may work but i thought i would try here first and see if anyone has tried them or has done a successful conversion. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am very close.. I have not seen any on Ebay, but i've been working on it for 2 years during pandemic.. Got demo PCB.. I can keep you posted somehow.. The ones I saw on Youtube are using chinese 100W LED's but they are not suitable for this. Also they ignore the dimming.. It's easy to power a LED from trackspot, but you will get 60hz flicker, non-linear output, no current control, and crappy dimming.
