I have some rectangular screens where one corner is rounded off. Do I need to create an alpha graphic of this shape in order to mask the screen properly, or does the newer software have more customizable masks?
I did this too. I found the best way to do this was to take a digital still of the screen on stage at about mid range. Then import the photo into a graphics software and trace the outline of the screen. Then I made a black and white jpeg of the shape, sized it to the res I needed, and uploaded it to the DLs. Worked good.
