We have seen some issues with LX55 lamps in the past exactly has you have described. Even though the lamp is new, it could be faulty. If you have a spare lamp, please try putting the spare in and see if it fixes your problem. If it does, please contact our support department (+1.512.836.2242 for our head quarters in the US) and they can get you a replacement lamp.
same problem here with one out of 3 dl-2 in a show. bulb is going off after aproxx one hour of not using the dl2 on a floor position (pan + tilt at 50%) Restrike is no problem. only 193 hours on the bulb. Show is now running for three days and every day after the dinerbreak the bulb is off. till now no problems during showtime.
gone test it next week in the shop with a new bulb. i'll keep you informed
Let us know what happens after changing the Lamp. If it only has a 193 hours on it, please get with our Service Dept too so we can get it replaced for you and get the bad one back for evaluation.
Ok, i had some time this week and tested the dl2 in the shop. With the old lamp it still went off after aprox one hour. I've replaced it with a new bulb and now the problem is solved. I will contact Fons or Frank about how to get the bulb replaced under waranty
When looking at the lamp reflector you should see a 2-3 digit code silkscreened on the reflector. It will start with a 6 or 7. If you could tell us the code that will help.
Was this the original lamp with the projector or a replacement lamp?
Also look for a sticker on the molded plastic base of the lamp with a serial # on it too. (not the serial numbers written on the reflector itself).
