There is an in frame and out frame setting for each layer on the DL.2/3. You can preview where you have your in frame and out frame set by changing the playmode to Scrub In Frame or Scrub Out Frame. Just be sure to set your playmode back to something that will play the clip after you are done adjusting the in/out frame.
