New to DL3

When you go to v2 try to always run them off ArtNet instead of DMX 5-pin since they will jump to 480 channels per fixture with all 9 layers in use....so in other words one unverse per fixture. So DP-8000 or Full Boar is going to be essential. And since you can assign the IP range of the ArtNet to anything wil Hog-3 you won't need a DHCP router as with some other consoles.

For numbering try to do this.
All Motions: 1-4
All Globals: 11-14
GFX-1s: 101-104
GFX-2: 201-204
etc....thru 901-904

It is a bit harder to patch this way since you have to enter each number, but ultimately this will make it easy to select fixture ranges from the keypad as well as groups.

If you get "lost" in what you are doing the Control Mode "9 in 1" from the Global fixture is a great way to see what is going in each layer as well as Global output.
