Hazy Gobo Issue

I have several 36 degree fixtures all with the same gobo. Most of them look great but I have a few that are very hazy when in focus. It looks as though there is a bunch of light spill coming from somewhere in the fixture. Can anyone tell me what is wrong and what I may need to fix or replace?

have you exchanged the gobos between your fixtures to check if the problem follows the gobo? they must be glass gobos, right? you could be loosing some of the reflective coating of the gobo, methinks.

Make sure the fixture has been properly bench focused.

Gave it a good bench focus and it is somewhat better but there is still a significant difference between the two. Some just look a lot sharper. They are all the same lens and are not the HD versions.

Make sure the lenses are clean. Do you have a doughnut you can throw in?
