PARnel Lenses

I am looking for information about how the PARnel optics work. Does the 'focus' knob move the lamp back and forth like a traditional fresnel? How do the dual lenses work?

the knob turns one of the two lenses giving them a new position relative to each other. i think the distance stays the same

The lenses have a "wave" in them.

The focus knob rotates them relative to each other to align/unalign the waves.
