Just had my first experience with XWFL lenses. They're great until you try to change them and then look for the four Tinnerman clips that have fallen off onto the floor. Why is this lens 1/8" smaller than the others? It is for heat dissipation?
Hi Derek - This lens is not manufactured by the same vendor as the other 4 - it has always been a tad smaller. Yours is a timely email, we just completed working with the vendor to make it the same diameter as the other PAR lenses. The newer diameter XWFL will begin shipping later this month. This lens is great for short throw applications, house lighting, etc. - so it is getting increasingly popular. We are happy to make it easier to use.
