Hey all,
Has anyone heard of any issues using new 14 degree lens tubes with the older (specifically 1st gen) Source Four front barrel assemblies? It's a nasty rumor I've heard here that I'm trying to prove/disprove before we purchase some new lenses.

I have not heard of any issues using the newer barrels in the older fixtures, but just to be sure they'd fit, I tried it out on a fixture from 1992 hanging in our museum hallway exhibit. Photographic evidence below:
In talking with our optical engineers, they report there should be no difference optically either.
