well my question is quite simple:
As there is a lug for safety ropes in the lens tubes... Has it to be used?
I am using a safety on the lamp-body for secondary suspension, but what about the lens tube barrel?
The manual says:
„In addition to primary suspension, attach a safety cable (ETC part #7060A1022) or chain to the secondary suspension
point on the Source Four Zoom CE.“
In the manual there is neither any reference to the secondary suspension point of the barrel nor any advice to use an additional safety rope there.
I feel a bit uneasy with only the screw and the barrel rotation knob holding the whole lens tube or am I overdoing here? Any bad experiences with that?
