Lighting a large backdrop from one side with S4 LED + CYC adapter

Hi everyone,

Did someone had any experience with lighting a large backdrop (H=11m x W=15m) from just one side (top) with ETC S4 LED fixtures + CYC adapters? Maybe double-yokes with different lenses?

Would be nice to hear about results.

  • I've done this many times.  Works great.  You can't really use the cyc adapters with double yokes... they aren't designed for a "High/Low" focus like that.

    That said, I would definitely expect some falloff at the bottom of an 11m backdrop.

    Definitely download the ETC Cyc Tool app and plug in your data.
