S4 Shutter Barrel lubricant

When I buy a new S4 fixed or zoom it has white lubricant in the rim of the Shutter Barrel.

After a while this lubricant disappears.

Do I have to re-apply this lubricant?

What kind of lubricant is this?

Where can I buy this lubricant?

Hi Nico,

Thanks for the question! That lubricant should last pretty much for the life of the fixture. However, if you'd like to reapply, we use Tiolon A20. https://www.tiodize.com/dry-film-lubricants/
