So we have just a brand new lighting system installed...I am a self taught school music teacher but feel I do pretty well with my lighting design and systems.
I have had to refocus and re channel everything installed...The installation company didn't bring in any curtains when they installed and focused and the wash was hitting everything! We have a new rear projection system and every light from the FOH and the first three electrics washed directly onto the screen.
For all of our lights above the stage (22 ft throw) they used 50 degree lenses....I feel like we are shuttering a ton of light by using this wide of a lens? Is this normal for most systems for high side lights as well as down lights? In the past I used 26s or 36s...I don't have enough money to swap them all out unless ETC would do a trade. Lmk your thoughts on this!
Thanks!
