We have recently acquired a set of Desire Fresnels with the X8 LED engine, and even though I'm stunned by the colors we're able to produce with these fixtures, I'm a bit disappointed in the dimming in the low end of the intensity. When making a smooth transition in a few seconds to 0% intensity, we have quite a bit of stutter in the last few percentages. Apart from that we also experience quite a bit of color drift in the low end while dimming (red shift is disabled). Is anyone else experiencing the same? Are there any tricks to help overcome the stuttering and color drifting in the low end?
In the end I would love for ETC to come forward with a firmware update to allow for 16-bit control of all color and intensity parameters, and I can't imagine anyone would disagree...
