Hi, If anyone has any suggestions or tips on what to include in an axon rack would be very appreciative. Extra Hardware or just build design or any tips from those in the know.
So, what we are doing is mounting it in a 6 space rack, on the front panel we have a kvm style monitor/keyboard/trackpad combo, and a Furman power conditioner. On the back panel, we have built a rack panel with, 5 BNC's DMX in/Out, Ethercon for Networking, Ethercon for Svideo Balun, and Ethercon for a Video over Cat5, and finally, a USB plug.
I will be taking pictures as soon as my racks get back and I can finish them, someone rented them before I got a chance to finish them up.

We just used one of those mid atlantic laser cut panels, and used the neutrik bnc bulkheads that fit in a D type xlr opening. I will take some pics and post them early next week, Josh
Hi J, found what seems to be a similar type KVM drawer that you mentioned in your earlier post. www.keyzone.com/drawer/cyberview-115.htm RKPS115bU 1U 15" LCD w/ notebook USB keyboard & mini trackball
As i haven't used a KVm style drawer before I'm taking it you didn't require a kvm switch for the monitor in your axon rack or am i wrong? Would i be correct in saying that Axon should just recognise the kvm as another device?
Cormac, I found one that does not actually have a KVM switch built into it. So the axon just thinks that it is a monitor, and the keyboard/trackpad is just another usb device, They do have PS2 versions, but we decided to go with the usb one. Also, we went with a 2 rack space version, so that the monitor and keyboard were on seperate slides, so that you could have the monitor out, but put the keyboard away when you weren't using it. I just found out that my axons were delivered back to my shop yesterday, so I should be able to put those together and take some pictures for you tommorow. Here is a link to the keyboard/monitor we bought.
NOTE: As I mentioned above, we went with the USB option, the ps2 version should work as well, but I am not 100% sure, as I have not tried it. rackmountmart.stores.yahoo.net/lcd2u1shor2u.html

Hi Again, can anyone tell what type of DVI connector i would require for a rack panel similar to josh's attached picture. DVi-i (single) DVI-i (Dual) DVi-D (single)DVi- (Dual)DVI-A or another type, looked over the axon manual and can't find this mentioned.
