Hi,
The SMB Access to the mediaserver is controlled by username: Administrator and a password. Since this product is not maintained any longer can you share the credentials. This would help a lot, since the CMA application is hard to use

Hello Fredrik,
We did not make the Axon password protected. There may be an issue with the motherboard BIOS. I suggest replacing the BIOS battery and then restore defaults in the exit page of the BIOS.

Hi,
I can see in WireShark logs that CMA has a SMB access with User: Administrator.
So if I understand it right, I can access is with a blank password?

Hi,
I'm aiming to write an application that replaces CMA, to access the media server via SMB
/Fredrik
Hi, Do you have any description/pictures where the battery is located on the Barco DML-1200?
/Fredrik
Hi Fredrik, I am sorry but I don't have any pictures of the DML with Axon. It was a Barco product discontinued for over 10 years. It was a typical motherboard BIOS battery that will look similar to the picture below. We did not require passwords to access any part of CMA or Axon. There was a version of the DML which had a different media server in it when Barco first released the DML. I think it was the Hippotizer.
Thanks Chris,
The MediaServer is a Axon system.
When trying to access the media server via SMB I'm asked for credentials
/Fredrik
Here's a log from CMA accessing the Axon server via SMB
And there seems to be a password required for the Administrator user
We did not require a password to access CMA. If Axon is not booting or running correctly then this may be why it's asking for a password. See my previous reply about the BIOS battery.
If the Axon is running correctly, it would be best to try using the last version of CMA available here: MA v1.0.3.525 (Content Management Application) (Note: to use install Microsoft WSE 3.0 first)
Microsoft WSE 3.0 must be installed before installing the CMA.
Hi Chris,
I'm sorry, I might have been unclear with my goal.
My goal is to replace the CMA with a custom application, that uses SMB to access the filesystem of the Axon Media server. So the question is about the user/passwd for the SMB access between CMA and the server.
/Fredrik
I do not think this will be possible due to the proprietary communication between Axon and the CMA.
