EOS LeaveQueried

This might belong in the EOS forum, but it's about networking so....

By what mechanism does the following occur:

"QuartzFram LeaveQueried ldr=0F72CA82-7AC9-3E1E-BA7B-2E762E294DF0(42) mbr= EE4EE15F-CF03-47FF-9402-D4638A5B0099(80000000) ssn=2"

It's the EOS console log, and pertains to a CEM module.

Is this the desk saying that it's lost the CEM (timeout, or other) or the CEM saying goodbye?

"Leave Queried" in the console log means that the other device terminated the connection. The other device may do this during shutdown, or the connection may have timed out if a cable was unplugged.

Dan,

Is there a way to find out if it was a solicited termination or a timeout?

How does the EOS detect a timeout, does it poll all discovered devices or does it rely on SLPD to inform it of disconnects/timeouts.

Only the device that initiated the disconnect would know why it disconnected, so it's not possible by looking at the Eos logs because they didn't initiate the disconnect.

Eos uses polling within the ACN connection to a device and SLPD to determine disconnects/timeouts. But the ACN connection would detect the disconnect first.
