I was using GCE as a DHCP server to give my android phone access to the ETC network, and found that the DHCP service appears to have turned itself off after some time. Is this a property of GCE or did I possibly miss something in the setup.
I opened up Network Services, enabled DHCP Server, had the box for Return services to previous stage when exiting GCE checked, and left it. Then I had my phone connect to the network via a Linksys WAP54g access point, and it worked fine for that connection.
I had to move my access point to a better transmit location, and when I tried reconnecting my phone, it wouldn't get an IP address. When I went back to GCE it had turned the DHCP server function off.
No big deal, just curious.
Thanks.
