concert and slpd.exe

Yes slpd.exe is the daemon in charge of discovering ACN/NET3 devices.

Without this, you will only be able to use the program offline.

I would suggest you add slpd.exe as a trusted or excluded file in Norton.

Note that Concert 1.0.8 is out and available. It looks like Norton deleted the process (unless the restore button works), so you may want to reinstall Concert. I don't think SLPD.exe changed between 1.0.7 and 1.0.8, so you'd still want to put in an exception in Norton.

thanks guys. i figured it was part of the package and was critical to functionality, but wasn't sure if maybe something else may have been being malicous. will make an exception in Norton. as always, ETC support is the best.
