Response DMX/Dali gateway

The Response Dali gateway contains a single loop, the ABAB connectors are parallel wired. 

Two sets of terminals are supplied for wring convenience.

If you wish to control two loops, then yes, you will need two gateways.

 

The DMX input to the gateway directly controls the DALI arc level (intensity) of the fixtures.

Yes, if you joined the two loops of DALI together, then they would operate as a single loop.

You can have a maximum of 64 DALI devices on a single loop.

 

Remember that a DALI loop must have one (and only one) DALI PSU.

While the response gateway will also need an external power supply (12-24vDC @ >250mA), which ETC P/N PS435 is suitable for.

The actual DALI loop also requires a power supply, an example of which would be the Tridonic PS2 (http://www.tridonic.com/com/en/products/DALI_PS2.asp)

Only a single DALI PSU per loop.
The outputs from the Response DALI are parallel wired together, as such creates a single loop.

If you remove one of the PS2 from your diagram, then that would be fine.
