10/100 will work today, but not sure what the next Eos Update will bring, so best to get 1gb Switch now.

PoE is also an option that could be very helpful.

Recommended is also an unmanaged switch.

To Add to Corey, my understanding is that any new installation is being quoted with Gigabit POE+ switches.
The main reason we currently use POE+ versus regular POE is the CueSystem CueSpiders require POE+.
POE is useful if you don't want to run power for your gateways as well as network. The gateways can be powered via POE.
Your ETC dealer should be able to quote you a managed switch configured for a lighting network.  If you get a managed switch elsewhere, we may be able to provide some very general guidance you can apply within whatever configuration tools that switch manufacturer offers.
