Network server

Hello!

Is there a way to have a network HDD or so that can store things like Show files, Concert files and so on. so I can access it from different computers AND lighting consoles.

I would like to have the chance to access the files I use on my network computer from my console to. And to get to backups without starting up the console.

EDIT: I use a Cobalt system.

I'm more of an Eos guy, but I think it should "just work" if it is shared properly. Much as a USB drive will show up when present.

So long as your network attached storage supports windows file sharing (SMB/CIFS) you will be able to mount this on a Cobalt/EOS console.

On a Cobalt this is added in the "File Server path" located under the General tab of System settings.

You will need to add this in the format \\ipaddress\folder

dose it have to be on the console? can't it be on the network? I would like a way to not have to start the console.

Yes an external network storage device (aka server) can be utilised.
The console would be a client to this.

I have been looking in to the Conductor. I have it on my list but it's a little to much money right now.
