Good morning,
I have a classic ETC Ion running 2.9.0 Build 77. I would like to use this device with an ETC Net3 Node. Will this work/communicate? Net2 EDMX output is enabled.
Thank you for your thoughts on this one.

Hi GJ,
There are definitely ways to make this work.
The first thing to determine is what variety of node or gateway you have. You mentioned you have a Net3 node, so I think what it's actually labelled should be a "Net3 DMX Gateway", like these:
https://www.etcconnect.com/Products/Legacy/Networking/Net3-4-Port-Gateway/Features.aspx
If that's the case, those can generally run in 2 modes : Net2 mode and Net3 mode. If you want to run it in Net2 mode you can push the button on the screen until it says "Switch to Net2 mode" then hold it down to switch.
However the newer mode is Net3 mode, and that gets you the latest features such as RDM and similar. To use it in Net3 mode, you would want to output sACN from your console, which is an option under the network tab in the shell.
