Net 3 GW to display universe

Quite tricky, as it supports a lot of potential universes (>65000)...there is not enough room on the display for these numbers.

I agree it should display the universe, this is the question every production electrician ask me.

I'm sure you can find a clever way to get around this once you start patching over 99 universes.

Hmmm, could use hex. "Ah, I see universe A5 is outputting, grand!"

There's no reason it shouldn't display the universe number as even though there is an amazingly high number of supported universes, there isn't an ETC desk that goes that high.  Even though there may be other ACN desks that do, people don't generally mix brands between consoles and nodes.

But what about permanent installs.  The bigger ones can routinely go into that large number of universes and most times there isn't a console involved that controls it all.

I agree that there should be something more to the port labeling system then there currently is, but I don't know how to do it within the limits of the display.

How about scrolling display or paging displays.
