I' relatively sure I'm correct in my understanding of how this should work but thought it best to check in with the experts to be sure. I work in a facility that has a paradigm system with to my knowledge only two wall mount ETC Net ports. One in the booth and one backstage. To expand the system I'd like to run from the backstage port into a VIA12 TE Gigabit Ethernet Switch which will connect to two port nodes on the the over stage battens, a backstage backup console, and a wireless router for IRFR connectivity. Is there anything I should be concerned about in setting up these devices in this configuration with an unmanaged switch.
