Multiplexing Networks over Fibre

Hello,

Trying to figure out some network issues in my building and would like to get a Unifi CWDM Mux Demux 4 unit and the applicable SFP+ modules, but Unifi switches are not great for sACN. We have a couple of Netgear AV Line M4250 GSM4210PX 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ switches we can use for the network. Would the Ubiquiti CWDM SFP+ modules work with the Netgear AV switches?

Summary of the issue: Lighting copper ethernet failed. Trying to replace it by multiplexing over an existing single mode fibre that an isolated network is on. The existing network is unifi and I know I can mux/demux that network, but trying to add the netgear switches for the lighting network.

Hardware proposed:

  • (2) Ubiquiti Unifi CWDM Mux/Demux 4 Units

  • (2) Ubiquiti 10G CWDM Single-Mode Optical Modules - 1270nm for Ethernet A (non-lighting)

  • (2) Ubiquiti 10G CWDM Single-Mode Optical Modules - 1310nm for Ethernet B (lighting sACN)

  • (2) Netgear AV Line M4250 GSM4210PX 8-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switches for Ethernet B
