Show tie in in via sACN

Hello

Fairly new to networking and such. Basically I’m wondering if I were to tie into an in house sACN network, and their rig on their network is universes 1-5, and I have my own rig on my universe 1-4, how do I configure my desk so the in house networks start on my universe 5, does that make sense?

is it as simple as setting the sacn start address for my port connected to that universe?

  • A common practice around here is to have the house use Universes above 100.

    Visiting shows can use universe 1 to 100 and the facilitating venue/permanent location uses universe 101 and up.

    You can assign your nodes to output the same as what you patched in the desk. You could even assign a different universe to the dmx ports of your desk.
