I'm troubleshooting a system that is causing some headscratching - hopefully someone here can help out.
It's a networked system in two spaces, a proscenium theater & a blackbox theater. Each space has two CEM+ 96 space dimming panels controlled using EDMX. BBox dimmers are addressed to 1-192, Pros are 2001-2192. Pros space has in ION Xe and the BBox has an ION Classic. Everything runs back to a centralized network switch so each space essentially can be controlled by either console.
The problem is in the control. The ION Classic in the BBox will not adjust the levels on the CEM panels for the BBox. If the ION Xe patches channels to 1-192 for the BBox, it WILL adjust levels in the BBox. Pinging the BBox dimmers from the ION Classic returns as successful. I've used a sACN viewer to verify activity from both consoles on the network and the Classic is adjusting levels in the 1-192 range.
The CEM on the first 96 panel in the BBox is showing a "Config Mismatch 4" error. I've successfully sent the config from the Pros panels to the BBox panels but the error does not clear. What is this error and how do I clear it?
What protocol is EDMX? Is it proprietary to ETC? I don't see any checkboxes on either console to activate/deactivate this protocol similar to how you would with sACN / ArtNet.
Why would one console be successful with controlling a panel and the other will not? Is it a console age thing (Xe vs. Classic)?
It should be noted that this system had been functional for 8+ years in this configuration.
