New iPhone 4 and iRFR App

I just got an iPhone 4 and am wanting to put ETC's iRFR App on it to use with my ETC Ion system.  When in the iTunes store, I can either purchase iRFR "BTS" or iRFR "LR".  What's the difference, and which one do I need?

Thanks!

John

  • Hi John,

The BTS and LR version have exactly the same functionality, and will interact with both the Eos/Ion family and the Congo family of consoles.  BTS stands for Behind the Scenes, and LR stands for Light Relief.

From an ETC press release (dated 11/2/2010)

All the proceeds from purchases of the iRFR app are donated to Behind the Scenes [US and Canada/The ESTA Foundation] and Light Relief [UK/PLASA], organizations that provide emergency funds to entertainment-technology industry professionals dealing with illness or injury.

In the year and a half since it became available, the iRFR app has raised almost $35,000 for Behind the Scenes and Light Relief. That money has gone directly to workers in the industry who are going through crises, and has been used for much-needed medical care and living expenses.
