MSC over Ethernet?

Have you considered using the ETC hardware "Net3 Show Control Gateway"? I would not consider any other solution to be bulletproof.

Yup, considered it, we even have one to use.
But assuming that the gateway just sends ACN messages over the net, then why can't another box (the show control system for example) do exactly the same thing - one less box in the system.
