Setting up a MK2 Gateway with a nomad and third-party DMX device with priority

Hi All,

Apologies if this is the wrong place to put this, but I've hit a roadblock at the moment in properly setting up our lighting in a studio environment.

The setup consists of;

1 x 4-port Mk2 Gateway with RJ45 connections - this is connected to our network switch structure

1 x ETC Nomad PUCK - connected to the same network as the gateway

1 x IP-to DMX controller, with commands sent from our Crestron control unit, on a separate network.

Port 1 of the Gateway is set as the output, which when connected to our DMX splitters the Nomad can control the lights, using only its connection over IP into the gateway.

Adversely, when the puck is disconnected, and any of the other ports are connected to the IP-DMX unit with it set as an input, the IP controller can properly control the lights.

However, when I connect both together, in Concert I cannot set any form of priority within the gateway of the signals sent by the Nomad, and both signals just continuously fight each other for their signals.

Is there anything I can do to the Nomad or the gateway in order to get full control?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks, Dan
