Response SMPTE Gateway with ETC Nomad in offline mode

Hi all

I was wondering if ETC's Response SMPTE Gateway can still be used to trigger cues if I'm using ETC Nomad in offline mode without a license dongle?

I'm interested in learning how to use timecode and am hoping I'll be able to practice using it at home with Augment3d before moving to our console.

Thanks in advance

Adam

  • Hello  apologies for the delayed response.

You will not receive SMPTE over a network connection to ETC Nomad when it is in either Offline or Offline w/Viz mode.

However, if you plug the SMPTE Gateway directly into the computer with a USB cable, it should work (assuming you have the right settings enabled).

By the way, this would be true of the Response MIDI and Response Serial gateways, too.
