I was recently tasked with setting up a new Response MK2 4 port gateway in a small theater space at my university. I was attempting to connect this gateway up to all the different lighting network ports in the theater via a network switch. When I connect the device to the switch, the network activity light on the front of the gateway immediately turns green, flashes a few times, then turns off, coming back on and repeating the cycle indefinitely. This connects to the console alright and runs the sACN but I cannot configure the switch via concert while in this setup and after having the console off for an extended amount of time, it cannot connect. I have tried numerous switches with no luck and always getting an activity light on both ends with ONLY the gateway plugged into the switch, no other cables going in or out. We are currently running the system with the console plugged straight into the gateway and this works alright and the activity light will only illuminate when the console is on. Does anyone know why this gateway will not function properly with the simple unmanaged switch or have any ideas how to remedy this?
