Now with the implementation of custom direct selects being able to drop a Channel into a DS tile and label it in live will speed the workflow in situations where channel assignments can vary from moment to moment. Currently the only way to Label channels is to go into patch. This is incredibly disruptive to the workflow on a film set when during a setup multiple people can be calling out channel assignments and the CLT may not refer to the channel by its number but instead what it is doing.
