When pressing any soft key or other key, Rem Dim will exit. There should be an option to keep Rem Dim on until the Rem Dim button is pressed again.
RemDim is a manual tool which allows quick removal of non-selected levels - it is not a mode. When RemDim was the last action, we allow another immediate RemDim action to reverse the change (the same as an Undo), to quickly get out of a mistake. For holding manual levels until you choose to release them, check out the Capture features.
